Before coming reaching out to Women’s Aid Kenya for help Anne was in an abusive relationship of 2 years. She was being physically beat but also controlled financially.
Her partner would make her beg and do all kinds of degrading things to satisfy him and ‘earn’ some money for basic things like soap and hair products.
She is now free of this abusive relationship and is living in one of our shelters. She has been given a small allowance while she searches for a job.
